Working on Alf #3, the latest installment of the comic begun in 1975, has got me thinking about the wonderful issues of Conan that I looked forward to every month, and to Barry Windsor Smith in particular.

I mentioned him ages ago when I first started my blog, and have been meaning to post some semi-complete episodes that I discovered on-line 2 quarters ago when I was asked to do a short piece on my art inspiration. It turned into an assignment, every bit as long and lovingly assembled as the comics themselves. I have included only a portion of the material I gathered in the post you see before you.
