Once upon a time it was rare to catch a “tagger” in the act. Deeds of self expression, seen as vandalism were done in the strictest of secrecy. How far we have come. I found 2 sites that documented an annual event in Brooklyn. Even Lady Pink (who helped to “legitimize” street art with her one woman shown held recently at Woodward Gallery in New York) participated. It is refreshing to see the artists at their pallets (walls), spray cans in hand, busily coloring the landscape. I also enjoyed the photos of the concept sketches. An excellent job has been done by photographers Lenny Collado and Lois Stavsky of Vandalog.com and Jaime Rojo of brooklynstreetart.com, documenting the entire creative process. My hat is off to ALL involved.
